the Representative Council

The 27 members of the Council will be elected in the autumn by Teknologkårens members of an open and general election. All the Unions members studying at LTH have the right to stand as a candidate in the FM elections. The choice is handled by the Council Election Board and the votes are counted under the supervision of the Unions inspector . the Representative Council chaired by the President and the Secretary of the Council and meets approximately once a month during the semesters.

the Representative Council decide what Teknologkåren shall be for the purposes of activities by setting an annual business plan and a budget. FM is also tasked with revising the Unions statutes and regulations if necessary. It is also FM that selects the officials responsible for carrying out the established business. The selection of officials is prepared by: the Unions Nomination Committee (note the difference between the Council Election Board And the Nomination Committee ). Furthermore, FM selects all student representatives in LTH :'s decision-making and preparation body . These representatives are responsible for the Unions opinions on student union issues. Do you think you would fit in the Representative Council you should run for office with the Council Election Board .

The issues dealt with by FM are mainly prepared by the the Unions Board. If you want to raise an issue in FM, write a motion or discussion paper and e-mail it no later than 12 reading days before the meeting to fm-handling@tlth.se. Teknologkårens exercise template can be found here.
