Congratulations to Johan Lundgren as the recipient of the Teknologkårens Pedagogical Prize 2023!

29 May 2023

Johan Lundgren is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and is awarded the prize for his responsiveness, for his commitment, for his learning-focused pedagogy and ability to arouse curiosity among students. Thank you for all the nominations this year and thank you to all the teachers who are committed and inspire students to learn more!

Motivation for why Johan is awarded the prize:

Johan is awarded the Teknologkåren pedagogical prize for his responsiveness, for his commitment, for his learning-focused pedagogy and ability to arouse curiosity among students. In the course Electromagnetic Field Theory, Johan has understood previous content and practical difficulties and it is noticeable that his only goal is to actually teach and train students in a subject that he is passionate about. Johan provides theoretical concepts, context through historical perspectives, new technologies and practical demonstrations and this gives the course a common thread. During the course, Johan listened to the students' challenges, adapted the course and prioritized time to go through ambiguities which made the course better. The assignments in the course have been learning-focused where valuable feedback has been more important than grades and it motivates students to attend exercises. Students describe that the course has gone from being magically difficult to that it is now fun to go to lectures. It should be fun to study. Thank you Johan for inspiring students to learn!
